Fetal blood sampling is a procedure to remove a small amount of blood from the fetus during pregnancy. In the past, fetal blood sampling was used only during labor through the mother's open cervix to test blood from the fetal scalp for oxygenation. Fetal blood sampling is usually done by a specially trained perinatologist, a doctor who specializes in the care of the fetus in high-risk pregnancies. It is done as part of diagnosing, treating, and monitoring fetal problems at various times during pregnancy. A fetal blood sample may be taken to:
Fetal blood sampling is a very complex procedure that must be done by a specially trained doctor. It is used when other tests or procedures are not possible or not effective. It can be performed for pregnancies that are 18 weeks or later.
All the Samples From Mars is the culmination of 9 years (and tens of thousands of hours) of sampling our favorite, most inspiring (often rare and vintage) drum machines, synthesizers, custom vinyl, and more. Recorded through some of the best recording equipment in the world, all of our samples feature 100% hardware processing - no plugins. And every sample has been painstakingly mapped for various types of software and hardware. We craft everything by hand in our studio:
Unlike most traditional vintage sample packs, we hold ourselves to the highest sonic standard possible, utilizing years of experience with some of the highest-end consoles, tape machines and outboard processing gear around. And by carefully multi-sampling everything, we've become experts at building instruments for Ableton, Kontakt, Logic, MPCS and more, so you can experience a wide range of processing (from clean to wild), tunings, articulations, and more.
We capture the cleanest possible samples (we've spent years sampling and at this point may have more experience than anybody else in the world doing so). This starts with making sure the drum machine is serviced, plugging it into the cleanest possible power, high end DIs and our API 1608 console. We record through high quality conversion (Apogee Symphony MKII) and often spice things up with a mastering reel to reel, and a host of mastering level hardware saturators, EQs, and compressors we've collected over the years. Most of our drum products include clean and color samples. The following are demos composed of the one shot drum samples:
We've recorded everything from classics (808, 909, etc) to the more rare, hard to find drum machines like the LM1 (we sampled two!), and even stuff that has never been sampled before, like the MPC1, obscure Soviet drum machines and more. We've even recorded our own custom drum machine hits, by tracking acoustic drums with vintage broadcast mics and sampling them through our favorite hardware samplers (similar to how the early digital drum machines were made).
Basically, we start with a synth we are in love with - mostly this is stuff that hasn't been sampled (for example, vintage Russian synths or the Voyetra), but we still find ourselves sampling classics because we love them.
On the keyboard itself, we spend days synthesizing the coolest and most useable patches - juicy analog bass, warm pads, cutting leads, wild FX - the list goes on, and greatly varies with each synth. Then, we multi-sample every note, often sampling additional filter and modulation settings. Usually we record synths pretty cleanly, but sometimes we'll hit various tubes and saturators and even tape!
Once these are chopped, mapped and looped to perfection (it takes forever and is its own art form), we go to town creating presets in various software samplers. Each software is different and has its own options and sound - Ableton allows us to get really deep with modulation, and FX, while Logic just sounds really good.
Multi-sampling synths and drum machines is our speciality, but throughout the years we've done more than just this! We've created Found Sounds by recording rain hitting various objects, thunder, traffic, the ocean, elevators, refrigerators, drill bursts, etc - in different environments, and then re-pitched these on tape machines. We've made experimental tape and trumpet instruments, and have also created the most comprehensive collection of drum machine midi grooves in existence.
This is all to say, there is just too much to write here about the products we've developed over the years. We recommend clicking the product links to the left if you want to read more about the detailed sampling processes.
Samples can provide great inspiration for starting your tracks, and knowing the best parts of records to sample can help streamline your process. Jansons breaks down his process for sampling vinyl records, how he manipulates and processes his samples and adds original MIDI parts to strengthen his ideas to ultimately create something completely unique.
In One Shot mode, samples play back monophonically, and play all the way through no matter how long you hold the pad. This is perfect for playing drums. By enabling Glide and playing legato, you can transpose a playing sample without retriggering it, allowing you to transform melodic phrases into whole new melodies. Your sample collection just got a lot deeper.
Make sure to use the 'Simpler' and not the 'Sampler'. They are quite similar instruments, with the 'Sampler' possessing much deeper control and sampling functionality. It can sometimes be confusing knowing which one to use in certain scenarios; however as a rule of thumb, if you want to slice something up, just use the Simpler.
You can now click the preview buttons on each drum pad to hear your chopped drum samples, or if the track is armed for recording, pressing the keys or pads on your MIDI controller should also trigger the sounds.
Because preconditioned and heavier feeder cattle tend to have fewer health problems, purchasing preconditioned calves can be a good investment for the cattle feeder. Preconditioning includes weaning 21 to 45 days before shipping, vaccinating for diseases prevalent in the area, dehorning, castrating, implanting, treating for external and internal parasites, and starting the cattle on grain-based feed from a feed bunk. If heavier cattle are used (700 pounds or more), preconditioning is not as important. Because respiratory and enteric (digestive) diseases can affect cattle of all ages, they should be properly vaccinated, preferably before they are moved to the feedlot. If there is any doubt about an internal parasite infection, fecal samples should be taken to a veterinarian to determine the severity of infection. Control of external parasites such as lice and flies is also important; inexpensive, effective treatments are available. Feeders can reduce potential health problems by carefully planning a health maintenance and disease prevention program with the assistance of a veterinarian.
Slate Digital says that Seismic provides you with out-of-the-box-perfect pop, hip-hop, dance and EDM drum sounds including world percussion loops (darabuka, djembe, dhol and more), and tons of hard hitting kicks and snare sounds. In total there are 229 drum loops, 153 percussion loops, 187 one-shot drum samples, 152 world percussion hits.
3. Slicing Mode - slice samples across your (midi) keyboard - This mode looks like a really interesting tool for drumloop and vocal slicing / chopping / cutting. The sensitivity parameter defines the number of slices chopped from the sample. "Mono", "Play" and "Thru" modes offer a variety of interesting playback modes. Mono: Play one slice at a time. Play: more than one slice can be played. Thru: Plays a sample to the end until you play another slice 2b1af7f3a8
